Concessions Are Now Cashless!
Plan Ahead!
As we shift to the Winter Sports season, all concession sales will be cashless! Electronic payment offers a faster, more convenient, and secure way to make purchases, while ensuring a smoother, more efficient process for everyone. As we move to a fully cashless system, we encourage everyone to plan ahead by ensuring you have a credit or debit card, or a mobile payment option like Apple Pay or Google Pay, ready for your purchases. This will help you enjoy a seamless experience and avoid any delays at the concession stand. Thank you for your cooperation, and we can’t wait to serve you!
Concessions represents over a third of the revenue generated during the school year. In addition to offering a snack or drink to our fans watching our games, concessions is a critical part of funding the entire athletic department. All teams benefit from the proceeds generated - even the ones who don't use concessions during their games. Concessions is entirely dependent on volunteer parents to staff the appropriate home games in the three concessions locations (Stadium, Indoor, Outdoor). Thank you to all our parent volunteers!
The WINTER 2024 Concessions Volunteer Credit Results are in!
Our volunteers logged 110 shifts and split $3,646.62 across 9 different sports spanning all three seasons. The per shift profit is $16.58 which is a signifcant decrease from last Winter. We believe this is due to three factors. We didn't have as many winter playoff games for concessions this year, we outsourced concessions for the winter break basketball tournament, and we switched to cashless concessions. We will be looking at these numbers in the Spring to see how it compares.
Concessions Volunteer Credit Program Returns for 2024-2025
You can steer extra Booster money to your team of choice! In order to motivate our parents to volunteer vs simply being told, we are continuing the Concessions Volunteer Credit Program. When you volunteer, a portion of the concessions proceeds goes to the team of your choosing! It's a three step process:
Sign up to volunteer for concessions using the signup genius links in the table below
Fill out the BW Boosters Concessions Sign In form when you get to concessions (QR code on display or click here)
Enter the information about yourself, the shift you are there to serve, and pick a sport that you want your volunteer credit to apply
Progress is tracked here and in our monthly newsletter to show how each team's parents are doing. At the end of each season, 50% of the concession margin (difference between what is collected and what we spent to purchase the food) will be distributed proportionally to the teams based on how many shifts those parents logged. The financial results will also be published in the newsletter. The other 50% will go into our capital project fund.
This program does not limit you to volunteering for just the sport that your athlete plays. You may have a Winter or Spring sport Athlete so why not volunteer in the Fall? You can still tag those other sports on the form. Also, even if your sport doesn't have concessions (see table below), you can still volunteer and push a little extra money toward your program. Gymnastics parents? Outdoor Track Parents? Jump on a shift this Fall for Football! Watch the money roll into your team's account!
2023-2024 CVC Results
After three full seasons of running Concessions last year, we had a total of 553 shifts logged across 17 primary sports (spanning 32 levels). The overall average for each shift served was $27.53. However, the profit varied from season to season so the actual profit was $28.73 in the Fall, $32.22 in the Winter, and $23.90 in the Spring. See details here.
