Concessions

Concessions represents over a third of the revenue generated during the school year.  In addition to offering a snack or drink to our fans watching our games, concessions is a critical part of funding the entire athletic department.  All teams benefit from the proceeds generated - even the ones who don't use concessions during their games.  Concessions is entirely dependent on volunteer parents to staff the appropriate home games in the three concessions locations (Stadium, Indoor, Outdoor).  Thank you to all our parent volunteers!

New Concessions Staffing Model for 2025-2026

We are excited to announce a new concessions staffing model for the upcoming 2025-26 season!  This new program is a huge opportunity for each team to take ownership of their fundraising while helping Boosters provide an amazing game-day experience for our fans.

We're adopting a proven model that has been incredibly successful for Riverside High School, completely solving their past staffing challenges. This is a win-win: Boosters get the volunteer support we need, and each sports program earns money from the events their volunteers staff.

Based on two full years of our previous Concessions Volunteer Credit Program, we have solid data on how much shared profit is earned per volunteer shift.  So this year, instead of tracking each shift, we assign a value of $30/shift worked.  We allocate the number of shifts we need per game and pay out the team covering the game for the entire amount.  The number of shifts depends on the sport.  For the Fall:

Football (Varsity) - 20 shifts share $600 profit

Football (FR/JV) - 6 shifts share $180 profit

Volleyball - 6 shifts share $180 profit

Field Hockey - 3 shifts share $90 profit

Here’s how it works:

Select Your Games:  The team coach and a designated concessions lead (like a team parent) will sign up for the games that team will work. There's no limit—the more you sign up for, the more money you can earn for your program!  This is open to all Briar Woods Sports Teams - not just current season teams.

Staff Your Events: Your concessions lead will be responsible for creating a sign-up sheet (like a SignupGenius) and coordinating with your team's parents to staff the event.

Take Ownership: Once you've signed up for a game, you are accountable for ensuring it is fully staffed, including any rescheduled events. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to empower your program, get your team parents actively involved, and raise money providing a great game day experience.  Teams will be paid out at the end of each season.
